Minds Matter is a three-year mentoring program that begins in students’ sophomore year of high school. Minds Matter offers its students a combination of individualized mentor support and group tutoring that provides students with the resources, information and guidance they need to gain admission to, enroll in and graduate from four-year colleges.
Over the course of three years, Minds Matter provides over 280 hours of in-person tutoring in mathematics, writing, critical thinking and standardized test preparation.
Minds Matter provides each student with two dedicated, college-educated mentors.
Minds Matter allows students to attend two prestigious college summer programs at no cost to the family.
Since 2011, Minds Matter of Philadelphia has served more than 80 Philadelphia high school students.
Each year 100% of our students are accepted to a four-year college or university.
Last year the average SAT score was 1240 out of 1600, representing a 200 point increase.
About 60% of our alumni attend a college or university ranked by Barron’s as Very, Highly, or Most Competitive.
